You can at anytime, install windows or linux for that matter, on your computer with Mac OS and boot it up with windows and run games perfectly. So until you see ARM take a hold, there is no hardware differences. a friend that bought a premade Mac, have the same hardware inside as I do, some of the brands are even the same (I often use ASUS, so does Apple for their machines) Actually (while premade Mac computers) are 3-5 times more exepensive than already (premade Win Computers) they basically have the same hardware. You can install Mac on your machine as well. That is what you fail to understand here. You can install the Mac OS on any machine you want to. Try pushing your glasses up your nose a little harder there. So when people say mac, they KNOW what the hardware will be able to accomplish and that MOST (honestly, almost all) games are not compatible with either. but then you won´t see people complain, since they wont be gaming anymore with that, atleast not mainstream games.

People make the mistake, of thinking that the "hardware" is different when you have one or the other OS, but it is the same, atleast until Mac goes full blown ARM. you could easily have Win, Linux and Mac on the same machine and boot up whatever you needed. Mac is merely an OS, you can install it right now on your machine, if you wanted too.
